The move brings increased next- and second-day services to two-thirds of the company’s North American service centers, ABF said in a statement.Called the “regional performance model,” or RPM, the network has more flexibility and operational efficiency for short-haul freight transportation, ABF said.RPM operational procedures allow the company ABF to operate national long-haul and regional short-haul networks in parallel, boosting the reliability of both networks.The company expanded its next-day and second-day services into Eastern states last summer.
